Emergency Room

Last night Olivia was running into the kitchen to get a drink and was not watching where she was going and ran right into the corner of the railing to the stairs . We took her to Wee Care the doctors looked at it and told us to take her to the ER. Surprisingly they got us in and out pretty fast for an ER. They told us we were Lucky she didn't get her eye and because it was a straight cut they could glue it instead of stitching it. Olivia was really excited about the glue especially after they told her it was PURPLE her favorite color.

Apparently Zoe was feeling left out or something, She likes to be like her SISTER. So this is what Zoe did today......

Parker had an opportunity to play on the All Star tournament this summer. We had the BEST team and the BEST coach. It was really busy, sometimes two games in one day, but it was so much fun to watch this group of boys play. Thanks Dennis we appreciate all you did for the team. All Star Team - Coach Dennis, Parker, Anthony, Kellin, Kaden, Nobel, Isiah, Connor, Connor, Jordan and Chase.

The girls were so good to suffer through the games with out complaining to much. Thank you Cherie for keeping them for some of the games.

Tending Kohen and Addi

We were able to tend Kohen and Addi again this summer. We had our moments, but for the most part we had a BLAST!! They are so funny and have such CRAZY personalities as you will see in the video. I really do miss not seeing them everyday. I LOVE you guys KOKO CRISPY and ADDI PATTI.

We are all so glad to finally get some good news. Yesterday we found out that the radiation SHRUNK Kendra's tumor. Now they wait three months and go back in for another MRI and see what it looks like. It was fun to talk to Jen yesterday and hear the hope they all have. I love you guys! Thank you for the prayers. They have been blessed in many ways.

It has been a while since I have been on here. I have a lot to put on. First an update on Kendra for those who have asked. She is done with radiation. She was really excited to be done. She looks like she is feeling better. I was working at the school and she spotted me and came up behind me and said BOO! It made my day to see her smiling and joking around. Now we just have to wait until she gets her MRI and see if the radiation helped.

Kendra Update

It has been a while since I have been on my blog. Last Thursday was a really bad day for their family. Kendra was put back in the hospital and Jen lost her job. Kendra got chicken pox and they were worried about the complications from that. So they put her in the hospital to give her antibiotics through IV. It was so hard to see her in the hospital. She had to be in isolation. She was really depressed and wanted to go home. She has started throwing up from the radiation. They finally released her Saturday night. They were all soo happy to be home. They have extended her radiation. She now has to go until December 5th. Please just keep praying for them.

Piano Rectial

This was Parker's Fall Piano Rectial. He played Spanish Caballero & Taps. Nora Wendel (his piano teacher) said Parker likes to play his music with dynamics and he is great at ear training (recognizing how far apart notes are, where the melody is going; etc.)

Kendra Update

Today is the end of week three. She has good days and bad days. We are starting to see the side effects to the radiation and the medication. She is swollen and her hair is starting to fall out. She is really upset about the hair, but through it all she is still the same sweet caring girl she has always been. I am amazed at all her strength. I love you Kendra. Three more weeks to go!!

Kendra has finished her first week of radiation. She survived like a Pro. She has not been sick. She is just REALLY tired all the time. One week down Kendra five more weeks to go. You are so amazing. We love you! Thank you so much to everyone that participated in the School bake sale. The kids and the teachers are so wonderful. I was blown away at the kids that just walked up and handed them their money and didn't even want a treat. Thanks for your support and prayers.

Priesthood

We all went down to Zane and Jen's house tonight. Graydon and Justin from their old ward in Syracuse came to help give Kendra and Jen a blessing. I am so thankful that my Dad, my husband and most of my brothers are able to give priesthood blessings. What an amazing thing it is. The spirit was there so strong. Ryan is so cute when everyone showed up at their house he went in to his room and put on his church clothes so he could be like all the guys. I love you Ry. I know that Heavenly Father is there with them and comforting them through this trial. Jen is an amazing mom. Just watching her tonight with those girls. I am blown away at the strength her and Zane both have. After we left Zane's we all went to Grandma's house and did presents and birthday cake. It was so much fun to be there and have fun together.

I feel so bad that I have not posted this before now. Bryson's birthday was on Saturday. His birthday was so special because he was able to get baptized on his birthday. I was not able to take our camera to the baptism because Jeremy had it on his road trip with Luke. So I am waiting to get the pictures from my sister. I will post them as soon as I get them. Can't Sleep

It is 1:37 a.m. I have been laying in bed tossing and turning for the last 4 hours. I have heard sometimes it helps to write down what you are thinking. So here it goes. My brother and Sister are not doing so well and I wish I knew how to help them. I worry about them all the time and I think every time I talk to them I say the wrong thing. Honestly I have no idea what to say to them. Nothing any of us say will make it better or make them feel better. I keep trying to think of ways to help them just get through the day and to lift their spirits a little bit. To have some fun together as a family even if it is just for 5 minutes. So if anyone has any good ideas please let me know. Just a quick update Kendra goes to LDS and Primary Children's today to get fitted for her mask for the radiation treatment. Then she will start the radiation on Monday. She will go 5 days a week for 6 weeks. This is their only chance so please pray for them. I know that it is in the Lords hands. To my amazing friends and family thank you so much for all of your concern and support. The money for my brother-the phone calls-the cookies on the porch-the time spent calling all different temples and having Kendra's name put on the prayer list- an encouraging note left on my blog- willing to babysit so I can go to the hospital. I am blown away at your generosity. I love you all so much! Thank you.

Unexpected Trials

Life can be so hard sometimes. Yesterday my niece Kendra was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. She was admitted to Primary Children's she has started steroids and they will start the radiation on Monday.

Zane was crying yesterday and said how do we do this? I don't know how to do this. I know with out a doubt that Heavenly Father does not give us anything that we can not get through.

Zane and Jen, It's not going to be easy, but you can do this. You are both way stronger than you think. I know that you may not go to church all the time and I am not trying to preach to you, but I know that you have been touched by the spirit before. If you can try to put your trust in the Lord he will help you get through this. Kendra is the sweetest little girl. She is never mad. She is always wanting hugs. The first person to say something nice and see the good in anyone she meets. I wish I could be more like that. Kendra we are so lucky to have you in our family. I LOVE you Kendra! If your having a hard day just remember we love you.

I sat and watched the first class when Olivia started dance. So I decided to do the same for Zoe. I can not believe Olivia was this little when she started. Time goes by way to fast. I used to hate when I was growing up and people that I had not seen for a while would comment on how big I was or how old I looked. Now I totally understand what they meant. When your young you can not grow up fast enough. When your the parent they grow up way to fast. I'm so glad my kids have cousins the same age. We are so lucky to live so close to all of our family. The girls have to stand on a blue line at dance, by the time Zoe had her shoes on there was no room by Belle. Zoe was a little scared as soon as Belle stood by her she was a totally different girl.

Here is a few pictures from girls camp.It was a lot of fun! This was our first year up as a presidency and we survived! We did learn that five days is to long. It was so fun getting to know the girls on a more personal level. They are all so amazing. I loved spending time with them. I love them all. It was also fun to have my two nieces up there with me. I hope they had a good time. Thank you Grandma Jenkins, Mandi, Grandma Gerrard and Cherie for helping out with the kids while I was gone. We couldn't have done it with out all of you.

It has definitely been challenging having two extra kids this summer, but has also been fun. Koko is so funny. He came up to me one day and told me that Zozo hit his haircut. Addi is the cutest little baby she has the funniest personality and she is such a good Baby! I think the only time she cries is when Zoe bugs her. Now that I think about it Kohen usually cries when Zoe is bugging him also. Our sweet little Zoe. Zach and Becky thanks for trusting me to take care of your kids. It has been fun spending so much time with them and getting to know Addi better. I will miss them.

I'm so thankful to live in this Country and have all of our freedoms. Especially the freedom of religion. I just wanted to take a minute to thank the service men and women and their families for risking their lives everyday for us. Our prayers and thoughts are with you everyday. We appreciate everything that you have sacrificed for us and we pray for your safe return.
